Position Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated team member who brings a foundation of consulting best practices, awareness of critical sustainability issues and an ability to manage client relationships. This person will be a key player in consulting to the world’s most influential organizations. The successful candidate will be one who questions the current paradigm of business and offers inventive, well-designed solutions to the global issues facing humanity. This person sees poverty, climate change and environmental degradation as interconnected to the needs of business. As an associate, you will interact with business leaders, leading NGOs, academics, and other thought leaders in the space of creating and maintaining sustainable business value. Ultimately you will be helping tip business toward sustainability through supporting complex client projects.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct efficient quantitative and qualitative research (on impact assessments, companies, general sustainability trends, etc.) to address client issues and opportunities
- Execute and deliver high-quality analysis to drive to insights
- Produce client-ready deliverables/documents to foster alignment and action
- Communicate insights clearly and persuasively, anchored by a dedication to making an impact
- Prepare, frame, and structure content for client meetings to achieve key objectives
- Develop and foster collaborative and strong relationships with key client contacts and teammates
Skills and Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree from reputable university or college
- Two or more years relevant professional working experience, preferably with a management consulting firm
- Sustainability knowledge and/or prior sustainable business strategy consulting experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Versatile, flexible, and willing to work within constantly changing priorities and periodically heavy workloads
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
