As a Client Development Specialist, John applies a background of science, research and sustainability to identify companies that Blu Skye is uniquely positioned to serve. He also oversees our Executive Field Trip programs.
John has worked on Blu Skye’s engagements with Dairy Management Inc., Microsoft, Purina, The Sustainable Apparel Coalition and Walmart. He recently finished a three-year term as an Associate Director of McIlhenny Company, his family’s 144 year old pepper sauce business.
Prior to Blu Skye, John created a vehicle emissions model for The Public Policy Institute of California, represented Nauru in the 32nd session of the United Nations General Assembly, worked in project administration at The Institute for Genomic Research (now the J. Craig Venter Institute), researched a laser metrology system at Oxford University's Department of Particle Physics, and studied water quality with Stroud Water Research Center.
John was awarded an A.B. in Physics and Math from Dartmouth College and later earned a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University's School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. In 2000, John was the forestry specialist on the Pennsylvania team that placed first at the international championships for the Canon Envirothon.
